Then welcome to our Intro Program – with a Private Foundation & Evaluation Session! – Where 1,200 successful new voice actors began
1. You’ll begin by figuring out the genres you’ll most likely book! (This is hugely important)
You’ll meet with one of our coaches for a 1-hour private and detailed evaluation. Your coach will answer any questions you may have, give you scripts to try and give you some feedback with a plan to move forward. NOTE that you can request a coach who specializes in a certain genre, such as animation, audiobooks, commercials, documentaries, narrations… 23 genres total! OR you can request a coach who has general comprehension of the entire industry. Voice actors are way more successful when they learn the genres best suited to their voice, goals, and interests.
2. After that, you’ll receive your coach’s clear recommendations with feedback, with practical steps to take!
During the evaluation portion of your Voice Over Intro Program, your coach will (1) give you live-directed candid feedback, (2) assess your voice, performance, and natural vocal strengths, and (3) develop a realistic path for you. Afterward, our team will review all this with you by phone.
3. And you’ll get Edge’s popular Guides!
Including the Edge Studio Industry Performance Guidebook, The 5 Types of VO Demos, and The Demo Script Selection Guide. These are industry-trusted and will aid in your voice over training journey, helping you to make informed decisions and know the industry better.
4. Then you’ll get to Feel what it’s like being a voice actor! You’ll have free access to 10 VO classes, workouts, and audition simulations!

We’ll give you the schedule and Zoom links for all of them, so you can log in anytime you want, to as many as you want – and feel welcome to participate or just observe and learn!

The industry is very fun, and can make you money to boot! Work is available in 23 genres, including Video Game & Animation, Commercial Ads, Film & Documentary, Audiobooks, and Corporate Narration… 23 genres in all!

Spend an hour working one-to-one with an Edge Studio coach – one who knows the VO industry inside and out, and is experienced at judging potential.
After, have a straightforward call with our team to review your coach’s feedback; their thoughts on your voice and vocal strengths, the genres they suggest your voice is most marketable for, and what steps they feel will most likely lead to your success in the voice over industry! During this one-hour-long private evaluation, your coach will learn about you and your interests and will ask if you have a particular voice over genre(s) you would like to pursue (audiobook, animation, commercial, documentary, etc.). Then you’ll get to read scripts under the coach’s guidance. If you have a particular genre interest, we’ll take that into account, but if you are also (or better) suited to another genre, the coach will discuss that possibility.
After your session, you will receive a follow-up call from one of our trusted Education Advisors who will discuss the areas of voice over where your coach recommends you’ll be most marketable, as well as give you a recommendation on the best steps and training path for your skills and voice. We will use your coach’s notes from your Private Evaluation to discuss which program would best fit your goals. From there, you can then enroll in the Edge Studio Training Program.
A Private Evaluation follows a very similar process to our Group Evaluation Class and is perfect for those who want a more personal experience, need a session that is tailored to your schedule, or are more comfortable in a one-on-one session rather than a group setting.
