Audition Rehearsal Sessions, led by David Goldberg.
At Audition Rehearsal Sessions, voice actors can volunteer to read an old or new audition they have, or even a practice script — they just paste their script into the Zoom chat so everyone can see it. If they are chosen, they’ll read until stopped (which is usually within a few seconds) and they’ll get immediate, specific feedback and clear suggestions for being cast more. Or voice actors can sit back, observe, and train their ears.
These are extremely fast-paced, run about 55 minutes, and typically have between 50 and 150 voice actors from around the world.
If you want to volunteer:
- Paste an old or new audition script — or any practice script — into the Zoom chat.
- If selected, you and David will work back and forth. Usually he stops you after a few seconds.
- You’ll then get immediate, specific feedback and straightforward suggestions.
Not up for volunteering?
- No worries! Observing others is equally as valuable — because hearing David analyze scripts and coach other voice actors preps your ears to better self-direct your own auditions. So you’ll learn more every session.

This class allowed for time to work scripts and receive great feedback from David and the emerging VO community. Seems very useful in self-directing. The various tidbits, anecdotes and guidelines were also very helpful.
When I wasn’t booking jobs, I decided to hop on to a class and learned a lot. I can’t wait to try out some techniques I learned to make my auditions better. Dave has some unique special ways to get his point across, is genuine and very patient.

This session was an eye-opener. David raised the veil on auditions, revealing common expectations and requirements of casting decision-makers. David is an expert teacher and coach. Through thoughtful questioning, demonstration, engagement and feedback David created a powerful learning experience for us. We practiced an array of techniques to elevate performance. The experience was hands-on, insightful, high-energy yet comfortable and supportive.
