Organizations I've trained to speak more effectively!

My mission is simple!

I ensure you come across on top of your game when you speak or present to an audience.

Let’s be real…

Sadly, 98% of people don’t come across on-top-of-their-game when speaking to an audience … usually because something’s just a liiiitle bit off.  It’s like a TV ad that’s just a liiiittle bit off; Whether it’s the way the announcer speaks, or the lightingsound quality, or visual appearance, you immediately perceive that business to be a bit off their game.

So, um… could this be you?

Well yeah, probably. Because about 99% of people are not trained at speaking (they haven’t even learned to avoid “ums” and hide nerves), and about 95% present with poor lighting, sound quality, or visuals. So you may be smart, yet convey something otherwise when you speak or present.

And that’s why I break it down for you…

I’m not another run-of-the-mill coach with vague goals like, “Engage your audience.”  (I mean, how specifically would you do that?)

Instead I’m a super-detailed Coach who analyzes the way you speak, assesses your lighting setup and sound quality, breaks down your visual appearance, and quickly prescribes bite-size, actionable speaking and presentation adjustments so you come across on top of your game. It’s a game-changing approach other coaches don’t offer.

Here’s how my time is typically split:

70% = Coaching the way you speak to improve your effectiveness
10% = Assessing and enhancing your lighting setup for optimal visual impact
10% = Fine-tuning your audio quality to ensure clear and professional sound
10% = Refining your visual appearance across various media platforms

that Immediately Improve Your Team’s Effectiveness!”

I have been a professional speaker for 45 years and more than 5,000 events, and watching David give a presentation on “how to speak publicly”, I learned things that will even greatly strengthen my effectiveness as a speaker. If you are a speaker, podcast host, corporate executive, I highly recommend you work with David Goldberg before your next presentation. He will increase your effectiveness by 1000%”

I’m Also The CEO of Edge Studio.

Edge Studio is an international voice over casting and recording facility. We’ve completed over 13,000 projects spanning numerous high-profile projects such as Nike, Google, Microsoft, and major news networks like NPR, CNN, and NBC.

Currently, I Oversee All Areas of Our Business.

I interact with everyone in the office daily to ensure that every customer is receiving the best possible experience. I am directly involved with marketing, production, casting, sales, training, and internal operations. I am always available to customers and make certain that each is treated as though they are the most important one that Edge Studio has regardless of how much money they spend.

  • Started Edge Studio by myself and continue to grow the operation to a team of very impressive experts
  • Partnered with related businesses to further expand the suite of services offered to customers
  • Pride myself on only being an email or phone call away from any customer with any question or concern they have
  • Speak at numerous industry events and actively work within the business and our team
  • AM PROUD that Edge Studio maintains a level of recognition and professionalism currently achieved by very few companies

David’s Background

David grew up playing piano and drums. During grade school, he sold his Matchbox car collection to buy a MIDI keyboard. Soon after he was performing with an all-adult orchestra for the show, Godspell. By high school, his bedroom was full of keyboards, keytars, and drums. In college, he bought a 4-track recorder and began recording and mixing local bands, leading to the creation of Edge Studio!

After college, he engineered at a major studio, worked on multiple albums with Deep Purple, learned to twirl drumsticks from Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel’s drummer – see photo), recorded José Feliciano, Joe Lynn Turner, and Gary Moore.

Simultaneously his own Edge Studio was expanding to national acts. So David went solo, co-writing and playing with John Mayer (keys, drums, recording, and mixing), mixing for Mel Tormé, and releasing over 150 albums!

In 2007, David transitioned Edge Studio to a drug-free studio environment, which turned away many big bands. So he adapted to voice over. And Edge Studio V2 was born!

On a personal note, I consider myself a very lucky husband and a proud dad to two incredible sons. I’m also the happy owner of two snorty English Bulldogs who love to drool around the house! And every day at 4:30am, I’m a (sometimes limping) triathlete.

“One of my favorite speakers to date! Not only because of how well the information was presented, but because of how actionable and important this is.”

Interview

Stacey and Chuck were curious about what prevents new voice actors from success…

The amazing Stacey Aswad and Chuck Duran and I chatted for a long time about that. Plus, there is about a ton of other cool voiceover stuff. This was on their infamous VOBuzzWeekly Interview Series. They own DemosThatRock.com.

Highlights include discussing what holds new voice actors back from success.

This was super fun, super cool, and super educational!

Interview

Dane Reid and I got to talking!

Ah, you’ve gotta watch this… because Dane flew from the Southern states all the way to New York City to talk with me!

He’s such a cool guy, a great interviewer, an outrageously tremendous voice actor (hear him here at DaneReidMedia.com), and an all-around awesome guy.

Definitely a very fun video!
