Speak Up & Stand Out!
My mission?
I help you look & sound polished … totally on your game!
See, anytime you represent your career, you’ve got to come across on your A-game.
So I break down every element of your speech, visual appearance, body language, and A/V tech—and give hyper-specific adjustments, so:
- people are more receptive to your messages,
- you come across as more capable and credible,
- and you boost professional image.
Then you come across on your A-game at every speaking gig, including company podcasts, keynote speeches, speaker panels, customer presentations, seminars, networking events, investor pitches,…

Who I’m not. And am.
I’m not another run-of-the-mill coach with vague goals like, “Engage your audience.”
Instead I give hyper-specific adjustments that help people come across totally on their game. It’s a tailored approach other coaches don’t offer (or even see or hear). I detect even the subtlest nuances that can make or break your image. For example:
- Speaking techniques – 2 techniques mask nerves, 3 boosts credibility, 2 clarifies messages, 2 slows you down, 1 increases audience engagement, 3 increases influence,…
- Lighting setup (for online interviews) – 3 adjustments that greatly enhance quality
- Sound quality (for online interviews) – 2 absolutely critical must-to-do’s for clear audio
- Body language – 5 adjustments that convey comfort, increase likeability,…
- Visual presence – 4 adjustments to camera position cameras and backgrounds,…
- Written skills (for written interviews) – 3 techniques that quickly engage readers, boost clarity,…
Every client I coach is shocked by how quickly my feedback pinpoints nuances they were unaware of—and how impactful the changes are.

Sadly, 98% of people unknowingly diminish their image when speaking or presenting.
Ever seen a low-budget ad on TV? What gives it away? Maybe it’s the speaker’s delivery, poor lighting, low sound quality, awkward body language, or a distracting visual presence. Whatever it is, it instantly signals a lack of attention to detail, and you immediately perceive that advertiser as less credible.
So, um… could this be happening to you?
Well, yeah, probably. Because unless you’re a trained speaker (meaning no more “ums” for starters!), yeah, you’re probably doing yourself a disservice:(

So here’s why I’m so busy…
Born with hearing issues, I was a very delayed speaker and learned a series of techniques that helped me overcome those issues.
Over time, I developed a series of speaking techniques, and ultimately found success as a musician and voice director.
Now I spend my time coaching executives, politicians, and authors around the world, helping them look & sound fabulous! I also provide speaking training to organizations, delivering super positive results for clients including Google, Microsoft, Citibank, and CNN.
I absolutely love what I do. I’ve been booked solidly for 36 years. And if we work together, you’ll experience what others have: how much more you’ll inspire confidence, command respect, and influence others.

“I have been a professional speaker for 45 years and more than 5,000 events, and watching David give a presentation on “how to speak publicly”, I learned things that will even greatly strengthen my effectiveness as a speaker. If you are a speaker, podcast host, corporate executive, I highly recommend you work with David Goldberg before your next presentation. He will increase your effectiveness by 1000%”

David’s Background
David grew up playing piano and drums. During grade school, he sold his Matchbox car collection to buy a MIDI keyboard. Soon after he was performing with an all-adult orchestra for the show, Godspell. By high school, his bedroom was full of keyboards, keytars, and drums. In college, he bought a 4-track recorder and began recording and mixing local bands, leading to the creation of Edge Studio!
After college, he engineered at a major studio, worked on multiple albums with Deep Purple, learned to twirl drumsticks from Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel’s drummer – see photo), recorded José Feliciano, Joe Lynn Turner, and Gary Moore.
Simultaneously his own Edge Studio was expanding to national acts. So David went solo, co-writing and playing with John Mayer (keys, drums, recording, and mixing), mixing for Mel Tormé, and releasing over 150 albums!
In 2007, due to a nutso drug scene (the bands, not David), he pivoted Edge Studio from recording music to recording voiceover. And Edge Studio V2 was born!
David lives in Connecticut with his wife, Jessica, 2 sons, Harrison and Benjamin, and 2 snorty English bulldogs, Spots and Mabel. 4:30am each day, you’ll find him running or biking somewhere. If you won’t join him there, then join him in a presentation:).
“One of my favorite speakers to date! Not only because of how well the information was presented, but because of how actionable and important this is.”

“Although I primarily work in Japanese, I found so much of the advice applicable across languages, and I feel truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend. I would love to participate again if given the chance in the future. Thank you once again for a wonderful session!”
