Speaking Coaching & Presentation Setups
for Business Applications.

Speaking skills • Lighting setup • Sound quality • Body language • Visual appearance

We make sure you look & sound polished.

And we do it in 3 ways:

1. Our tailored ‘Speaking Adjustments‘ significantly boost your presence, credibility, and listeners’ engagement by up to 5X across various business platforms (keynote speeches, customer presentations, training seminars, boardroom meetings, audiobook recordings…).

2. Our ‘Lighting & Sound Setup‘ ensures you come across up to 3X more polished when on online meetings and videoconferences (company podcasts, on-camera media interviews, sales videos, employee interviews…).

3. Our ‘Body Language & Visual Appearance Review‘ tops you off, ensuring you look natural and avoid backgrounds that research shows distracts the people who are (supposedly) focused on you.

See details in the yellow ‘Services‘ box half way down this page.

Here’s the problem:

98% of executives don’t realize how easily their professional image is compromised when speaking or presenting at work.

It’s like watching a low-budget ad on TV;  How do you know it’s low-budget? Maybe it’s the way they speak, or bad lighting, poor sound quality, stiff body language, or inadequate visuals.

Whatever it is, it instantly signals a lack of attention to detail—and you immediately perceive that advertiser as less credible.

Speaking Adjustments; Coaching
How you say words is 5X more influential than which words you say!
So if you aren’t trained as an effective speaker, then you are missing out. Because speaking effectively brings more influence, presence, credibility, and “yeses”. In other words, if people say “no” to you, it’s 5X more likely it’s because of how you spoke rather than which words you said.  Your voice is the most direct connection you have with your customers, colleagues, and audience.

You have 2 goals:

  • Make sure you come across as qualified as you are.
  • Make sure you get more “Yeses”.

To do this, my team and I:

  1. Analyze the way you speak, consider your word phrasing, and focus on your word choice..
  2. Give in-the-moment direct, detailed feedback targeted on those 3 speaking elements..
  3. Train you with bite-sized, easy-to-implement adjustments that target each element.

For example, we discuss: 21 speaking techniques (2 boost how confidently you come across, 3 win debates, 2 mask nerves, 4 grab “yeses”…).  5 lists (7 things not to do when beginning communication to a group, 3 to do,…).  Body language (hands, body positioning, clothing vs your background,…).  Adapting to various platforms (on-camera, on-mic, on-stage, online, in-person). And more.

My team and I do this every day.

Lighting & Sound Setup
Move over professional headshot and LinkedIn avatar…
CUSTOMERS SPEND MORE TIME looking at you on Zoom and other videoconference platforms. Yet 98% of people are unaware how poorly they come through their mic and camera. IT’S TIME TO FIND OUT.  And time to learn how to make sure you always convey attention to detail and that you’re on top of your game.

Let’s be real… With poor lighting and sound, you come across like a low-budget TV ad. Meaning you convey less potential to anyone watching you … your credibility takes a toll. Studies show this happens within a fraction of a second … even before you open your mouth!

So we:

  • Set up proper lighting and webcam/cameralike a professional headshot photographer would do—from where you join online meetings. We’ll also purchase lights and a webcam/camera for you based on the dimensions of your office. When you look good, your professional image is strengthened.
  • Set up proper sound gear (microphone selection, office acoustics), so you sound good. Poor sound quality immediately turns off listeners. When you sound good, your professional image is strengthened.

We’re uniquely qualified to provide these services.

Retainer Programs
Working via retainer is optimal for all parties involved. You’ll have access to me 24/7.

You can call, email, or hop on Zoom, and we’ll break down and analyze the way you speak, assess your lighting setup and sound quality (for online meetings), and evaluate your body language and visual appearance. During these sessions, we’ll call out concerns and areas where enhancements will be impactful. Be ready with a pen.

David and his team don’t lead any run-of-the-mill coaching with vague goals like, “Engage your audience.” Instead, we’re super-detailed. We spot the critical elements that hold you back — elements your colleagues won’t be able to point at a finger at, and we show you how to fix them. It’s a game-changing approach other coaches don’t offer.

We make sure you—and your team—come across real well.

Even One Call Makes a Difference

Case study – with existing concern

A CEO had exactly 3-minutes to present 21 slides in an ‘investor pitch’ meeting. He was concerned he’d sound nervous and would need to speed through his material.

We said, “Easy… do these 2 simple things”:

  • Slow down the first word of each phrase.
When you do this, you unconsciously lower your pitch. A lower pitch conveys confidence (rather than a high pitch which conveys nerves).
  • Double the space between sentences.
When you do this, you continually have time to regroup your thoughts and catch your breath.  This means you mitigate getting tongue-tied and speaking in circles, and instead ultimately get through more material, in less time, with a more comfortable/confident feel. Doubling the space between sentences also gives listeners more time to absorb what you say and keeps your breaths lower. All wins.

2 simple techniques and his two concerns were no longer a concern. We give ‘voice adjustments’ like this every day.

Case Study – Assessment

A corporate presenter felt she did fine. “No one says anything bad about my speaking.” We reviewed her presentations and offered 3 ‘voice adjustments’. A later email included, “OMG, that was the best thing! I had no idea what I was doing wrong and how the fixes made a big difference!”

Another email said, “I’m winning twice as much now!” My team and I give ‘voice adjustments’ like this every day!
