You’re given a commercial audition but you aren’t sure how to add value to the product you’re trying to sell while using your voice? In Edge Studio’s Luxury vs Everyday VO: Mastering Commercial Auditions we’ll give you the insight in order to tackle all commercial auditions and impress all clients, both luxurious, generic, or anything in between.
Luxury vs Everyday VO is taught by Edge Studio’s James Andrews and will focus on how to approach different kinds of commercial voice over scripts – specifically luxury brands versus everyday regular brands. Students will learn to dive into commercial voice over material with different levels of formality, while still accessing conversational reads. Students will dig into concepts such as point of view, articulation, phonetic pronunciations, all in an effort to win commercial voice over auditions.
The Luxury vs Everyday VO Workshop will run for 2.5 hours and will include a short break in the middle, as well as a brief Q&A at the end of the session. This is an interactive small-group class and will involve participation from all students. Each student will be given practical voice over knowledge and will have the opportunity to read for, as well as receive feedback from James multiple times within the class.
