I do think you accomplished your goal. You sound like you’re talking with someone about something you’ve encountered and really enjoyed. I also get the idea you really know what you’re talking about. Only problem is, you pause in the middle of a sentence three times. Unless there’s a comma or a period in the script, you should generally avoid that. Good job overall though.
The second take was much better. I love how well your voice matches the script and you speak so clearly at such a quick tempo. However, I think you’re not hitting the best words and the tone you’re using during the enunciations should be redone. Also, in the beginning, you sound like your telling the the listener to slice and dice with the product. I don’t think that’s the intent. Still, you’re doing great. Well done!
Hey everybody. I have recorded a new script. I just received my first commercial demo and I want to continue honing my “strike zone.” What do you think of my performance? Do I come off as a witty and confident “friend” the listeners want to hear? Is my recording setup still working well? I’d appreciate any feedback.

Do it right for Less. Start with Lowes.
Magnificent read, you’re really pulling off the kind and encouraging tone that Nationwide is known for. Only problem I have is your tempo, I think you may be speaking too fast and it’s causing you to say certain words incorrectly like “to” and “ease.” Unless it says in your audition that the read HAS to be less than 30 seconds, don’t fret about saying everything so quickly.
You’re on the right track. The tempo, pitch and volume you utilized is well performed, though I think you should work on your tone because it makes the script sound more like a narration. Think about who would be listening to this and why, that will help you determine the tone.
Magnificent read! You’re take on the list is an inspiration for me. I can’t find anything wrong with your performance, except the ending… I think you should include a longer pause between the last and second to last sentence.
I think you brought the scripts to life very well. Your voice is a great fit and the words you enunciated were well picked. Only problem is, I think your pauses are too long and the long silence at the end should be omitted. Also, in the first script you paused between “lean beef’s” and “actually lower…” You need to avoid pausing midsentence.
My friend said I might not be cut out to handle scripts that have a “hey BRO” tone just yet. I wanted to try it though, so how’s my performance? Any thoughts on the pauses and tempo? Do you think I’m echoing at all?
