Good job with the performances and the recordings.

Critique: I would make the 2 commercials sound a little different from each other, it can help you add and explore some of the variety in your voice. Also, maybe add more excitement and enthusiasm in your commercial performance, make the audience want to buy the product, and want to listen to your performance. You sound a little too calm or laid back.

hope this was a helpful critique

As my demo day is approaching, I wanted to practice performing a character from “The Legend of Korra”. Zaheer was my favorite villain in the series and I wanted to see if my studio is in good shape.
Please leave your feedback on my recording and performance

As I prepare for my demo, I was told in an earlier comment that they couldn’t hear a few of my demo character samples. Turns out that after an accident, that my microphone was moved the wrong way.
So, I fixed and reset my home studio.
Please feel free to leave feedback on the performance. Also, let me know if I’m more audible than before, and if you can hear and understand what my character is saying.
    Thanks

Congratulations on winning the election, Mr. President. You know, I got you elected so I could get those weapons contracts. I don’t know if it’s slipped your mind, but I’m through being patient with you. I will expose you as the fraud you’ve always been.

I agree with Robert, you sound like you are reading it, as opposed to performing. Also, great job with the tone and pacing etc. The second performance was the better of the two that you submitted; clearer, more concise, and not as much background noise.

:Your tone was constant and the same throughout. As for your setup, there’s a humming sound that I’m hearing when you aren’t speaking. Good job, overall. Since this sounds more like a commercial advertisement, you may want to try performing it again with more enthusiasm in your voice: i.e. when you say “Don’t be stuck in life, love, work – or anything! Try Weelearn for yourself today.
Weelearn – learning through watching”, it sounds like whoever wrote the script is happy about what they are advertising.

In the first recording it sounded like you were too far away from the microphone, with a minor hum. The 2nd recording was louder. The good news is that I was able to hear you better. The bad news was that I heard a louder hum in the background. I would speak with an engineer about Audacity recordings and work on building your home studio,

Thank you for the comment and wishing me luck, I’m excited and nervous at the same time. Yeah, some of my characters are loud, calm, maybe yelling. I probably should have slowed down my characters so they were audible too. Also, my microphone was tilted the wrong way and it made my voice not go through properly. I’ll try again, with the adjustment made.
    Thanks again

My demo is coming up soon in April and I wanted to rehearse my characters to see if they are in good shape. Please feel free to leave feedback about my performance, the characters, and so on.

    Hi Mary,
Both recordings were good, having music, your warm voice, and well-paced performance. The first recording sounds more inviting, well-paced, tone, conveying the right emotion(s). The second recording was good too. But the music was taking away from your audio performance.

Good narration voice for a History channel, or Discovery channel documentary. If that’s what you were going for, great job. I would encourage you to provide a script of what you are narrating, in case your coach or peers want to follow along.
    Keep up the good work
