Great pace and you have a lovely, full tone to your voice. I recommend marking up a script to give emphasis to important phrases and really honing in on an audience in your mind. You vary your pitch, but otherwise each word seems to have the same weight so it is sounding a bit robotic.

Can definitely hear the difference between these two. Well done 🙂

I will take any and all feedback. Particularly working on my pacing and diction. I struggle with vowel glottal stops and am trying to keep my mixture of southern and midwestern accent (thanks mom and dad lol) out of my readings. I’m also curious of thoughts on tone appropriateness for the nature of each piece. Thanks in advance.

Your voice is lovely for advertising. Bright and expressive while also having a smooth quality. My recommendation is to take these scripts and play with accentuating different words to see if you can vary up the read. For example, with the BMW ad, your emphasis on the word “new” makes it sound like the comparison is between old and new versions of that car, but the read is actually comparing other cars “arrived” to the BMW’s “sooner” arrival. Listing to both ads, I think you definitely have the range to play around and get a variety of takes for each one to market yourself with.

You have a great gravitas to your voice that suits this kind of read. I did notice you have very bright vowels (midwesterner? I noticed it especially in your short “a” sound like in the word “stranded” and “fast”), so as an exercise, I’d suggest seeing if you can take regionalism out of your voice. I think this read is very effective, but having control of that might give you some more options.

I love the energy in your voice. And well done differentiating your reads. The differences are subtle but I still think apparent. I would challenge you to go even bigger, even if just as an exercise. Could be interesting to see what you discover if you go crazy different for a read and just see how it feels.

    Howdy and hello!
This is my first time posting to the forum. I’m looking for any and all critiques and comments you have. I’m specifically working on my diction, especially endings of words, pace, and that ever important conversational tone. Recorded on phone voice memo app.

    Thanks in advance!
