I haven’t taken any narration classes or narration specific coaching sessions, but thought this sounded great! Nothing jumped out at me or gave me that little twitch of “not quite right”. It was easy to listen to and I liked the pacing and tone variation!
Hi BJ! Oh, good! I’m glad you found the feedback useful. I know some of it can be subjective taste, so I’m glad it resonated with you as helpful. Really just a tweek in delivery. You’re rocking it.
P.S. And by mature I mean trustworthy and adult, not “too mature”. I’ve noticed on V.O. sites that anything over about age 30 (or perhaps it was 35, I’m not positive) is considered mature.

Both sounded natural and conversational to me, as well as having vocal variety. Nice job! I especially liked Reading to Write- sounded polished and pleasant to listen to.

Love your voice! You are fun to listen to. I especially enjoyed the poodle haircut instructions. I can also envision you voicing something in the upscale fashion world, or travel. Your sound strikes me as mature, hip, and in the know :). If I had to offer a critique, it would be that the guided relaxation felt a touch choppy to me- perhaps a smoother style read would sound even more relaxing. Nice work!

MicheleThank you Robert! I appreciated your tip to think of the script as a piece of music and the specifics you provided in your feedback. I think visualizing scripts in that way is going to be a nice help to me! If I were to re-submit these reads, I’d definitely pick up the pace on them and decrease the pauses. Really appreciate the time you took to listen and provide your thoughts. I commented on volcano, but my apologies, I think I wrote to Graceon instead of replying directly to you. I tried to edit it but am not seeing my edited version appearing.
Hi Graceson- I enjoyed listening to your read and appreciated your tone, including how it was serious when discussing destruction and economic impact. It sounded respectful while not too flat or conversely, overly emotional. Pacing felt like it could be smoothed out a touch, but it sounds like that would come naturally with familiarity with the script. Nice job!
