Hey everyone! I’d like feedback on a couple of recordings I’ve been using to practice. Thank you for your time!

Hi Joyce – I’m sorry to say that while your voice does sound really good, the amount of glitches in the recording made it kind of unlistenable. I’m sure that’s not your fault, but judging from the feedback I’m seeing you get from someone else on a different recording, it seems you must have some kind of issue with your audio.

Hey all! This is my first set of recordings after getting my new voice booth set up, so I’m eager for feedback on how things sound. From my point of view, they sound a lot better, but I would appreciate an outside perspective.

Hm…I know that this isn’t going to be very helpful feedback, but the first recording’s missing…something. It’s something that the second recording ISN’T missing, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Apologies.

Hm…I do feel like I’m still hearing some of the pauses you mentioned – however, my main observation is that it feels you keep on giving the lines the same cadence, like you start out the line with a medium tone and then take it higher by the end. It’s one thing to do that for a line in general, but when you keep doing it it becomes noticeable.

I will say the second recording sounded much better than the first, however.

    Thank you for the feedback!

I will say regarding the Lenders one that I was actually second-guessing myself a little, because despite the content of the script…I’m not actually a New Yorker? So it was a little awkward to think about.

I did want to ask about something I’ve been hearing a lot about from my coach recently – did it sound like I was ‘reading’ too much, rather than talking? I’m trying to work on that.
