!! Great work! The balance between the music and your vocals is exactly what it needs to be, and your read was near perfect. You understood exactly what the copy was portraying and it fits the target audience %100! At the very end, the music does end abrubtly mid-note, but since this is a practice it’s something to take note of and perhaps find a way to fade out or finish the musical phrase (if its not too long) to have a solid finish to the commercial? It sounds almost as if there was another half second of that note that got cut off. Aside from that, keep up the great posts!

Nice work! Your voice fits the copy well and tone wise, you’re in the pocket. Only note would be that “good news for your cat” was a bit louder/more stressed than the canary line, which brings the joke home. If you do the first bit as more of an offhand comment and then lean into the canary line just a fraction more, it will come across even better!

Continued practice! Working on a more serious PSA than my usual humor filled copy, so any comments focused on performance would be especially appreciated. Thanks!

    National Flood Insurance Program

Wherever it can rain, it can flood. And where it can flood, damage to homes and businesses is a serious risk. Last year, flooding was reported in all 50 states, including many areas not usually considered to be prone to flooding. More than a third of all flood insurance claims came from those lower-risk areas. The best way to keep a heavy rain from becoming a financial disaster is to get flood insurance backed by FEMAS’s National Flood Insurance Program. Visit FloodSmart.gov/info to assess your level of flood risk, estimate your premium, learn about low-cost policy options, and find an agent in your area.

Nice work. It came across as conversational and easy to listen to for a self help tape, and you interpreted the copy well. One thing that might enhance the read is making the quotation slightly different from the rest, or more clearly emphasized- it will help draw the listener in, you can accent the humor in it even more, and it will let the listener know what words are your own versus the quotation.

Very nice! The casual, conversational feel and subtle humor shines through, and you’re right on track with branding in my opinion- college aged roles would suit your voice well. One note to keep in mind- it came in at around 36 seconds, so if you were submitting for a 30 second commercial you would have to pace it a bit quicker than on your current read. Great job overall though!
