Description
Do you suffer from overwhelming curiosity about voiceover opportunities in the medical sector?
Then you may be suffering from a deficiency in Medical Narration 101 – a workshop that provides lasting relief to the questions you’ve been itching to ask.
Designed for novice and experienced voice actors alike, Edge coach Erica Brookhyser and medical narrator, Steve Sincero have created a fun, interactive workshop that covers both the practicalities and performance elements of the Medical Narration genre.
The first part will be an overview of the business-side of the Medical Narration genre, including:
- Types of medical narration jobs
- Essential skills for the medical narrator
- Demos – Dos & Don’ts
- Finding work in medical narration
The second part will be dedicated entirely to personalized feedback on participants’ reads:
- A variety of medical/healthcare scripts will be assigned during the workshop including: regulatory, instructional, patient-facing, product explainers, and commercials.
- After discussing best practices for ensuring proper pronunciation, each participant will receive a short script featuring complex terms that they will read and receive feedback on.
- Participants will then be assigned a longer script, which they will analyze and practice based on instruction given in the workshop. After a brief period of preparation on their own, each participant will read their script and receive feedback from the instructors.
Auditors are welcome to stay for the feedback portion of the workshop, but will not read or receive personalized instruction.
Medical Narration 101 is proven relief for voice actors who want to know more about this lucrative voiceover niche. Don’t suffer any longer – ask your doctor if Medical Narration 101 is right for you!
