This live webinar is hosted by our very own Ashley Adler!

We are thrilled to bring back Lori Alan for another Guest Director Night!

In this 3-hour workshop, Lori will work one-on-one with YOU, pulling from your unique background to showcase your one-of-a-kind skill-set through improv (& yes — those “voices in your head”) to help you build a cartoon-friendly cast of characters unique to you alone, give you the confidence you need to release those untapped reserves of creativity, arm you with simple techniques that WORK, so you can step up to that mic with a strong POV and give you the confidence (and the permission) to let your freak flag fly & have FUN again! Let’s turn those auditions into JOBS.

Prefer to just observe? You can purchase a class audit for $50 here.

Description

What’s your dream animation gig? Is it… Booking regular/recurring roles in iconic TV shows like Family Guy and SpongeBob? Maybe it’s voicing characters in big budget animated features like Toy Story? Are you a die-hard gamer, primed to breathe life into the heroes (or villains) of your favorite video games? How do you find success in these genres? By letting your freak flag fly, for starters! And letting all those voices in your head do the heavy lifting.

Each participant will be given scripts in advance to prepare and work with Lori on in the session.

More about Lori:

Lori Alan is the multi-talented voice behind many of your favorite iconic characters, including DIANE SIMMONS on Family Guy and PEARL THE WHALE on SpongeBob: Squarepants!

She is perhaps best known for her award-winning voice-over work and is the first recipient of the Society of Voice Arts & Sciences Award for Outstanding Body of Work. For decades, Lori has built a thriving, full-time career, one audition at a time, as a highly-sought after voiceover artist specializing in animation. And along the way, she’s learned how to practice the sacred art of “voice alchemy”– consistently turning auditions into jobs.

She’s starred as Pearl the Whale on the Emmy Award winning SpongeBob Squarepants,  Diane Simmons on Family Guy, Sue Richards: The Invisible Woman in Marvel Comics’ The Fantastic Four, & The Boss in the video game trilogy Metal Gear Solid. She is a proud member of the Pixar family, having appeared as Bonnie’s Mom in the Oscar-Winning Toy Story 3 & 4, Mom’s Sadness in Inside Out, as well as roles in Monster’s University, Despicable Me 2, WALL•E, Disney’s Henry Hugglemonster, Cow and Chicken, Animaniacs, and Futurama, (just to name a few), and a long, very successful commercial career.

Lori’s on-camera roles include Will & Grace, Ray Donovan, Shameless, Loot with Maya Rudolph and as Young Larry’s Mom on Curb Your Enthusiasm. On stage credits include

The P*e-wee Herman Show, her solo show Lori Alan: The Musical, and the award-winning musical, R****r Madness. All things Lori, including her pilot, Do The Voice, can be seen at: lorialan.com
