I’ve had a lot of personal things going on in my background, but I finally have some time to get back to practicing.
I feel a little rusty, but overall I like what I did here. Criticism and feedback of any kind is much appreciated! It’s overall a conversational piece, and I’m also working with a new mic stand. The stand is helping me make more space in my studio, and I hearing a lot less breathing now.
Next time, I plan to practice something with a little more variation.

I have another recording for practice. I’m repairing my soundproofing panels, so apologies for the sound quality.
As usual, my goal is for a conversational piece, and I’m looking for proper diction and pacing. I want to make sure that ‘PRIME DAY’ is given as much recognition as it deserves, and that ‘change’ is varied enough, while trying my best to sound close to somewhat natural, lol.
Feedback and criticism is always appreciated. Thanks for your time!
I have another recording that I’m posting here for practice. It’s a conversational commercial.
My focus is on diction, keeping the reading at a steady pace with little unnatural pausing, and making sure the reading has a beginning/middle/end. I’m not too worried about the breathing, and I do apologize if my mouth sounds dry!
Feedback of any kind is much appreciated. Thank you for your time!
This was a good read! Everything was clear, and your voice is nice and descriptive- perfect for this reading, in my opinion.
I have only two things that I’m at odds with: I feel that with every second line (evening cruises, fishing until dark, etc.) lacks variance, or rather that each second line sounds like every other second line, if that makes sense? Like, the first line has a good buildup, and then the second one falls a little flat.
My second issue isn’t too much, but I feel that ‘Seafoam,’ as a money word, could be better emphasized.
Hopefully you’re able to understand where I’m coming from through my rambling. An enjoyable job, nonetheless!
I have here another reading that I recorded for practice.
The more I went over it, the more I realized that this is NOT a conversational piece, despite my treating it as such, lol. I’m looking for clear and concise words, variance and emphasis with the words that matter, and as little awkward pausing as possible.
I appreciate any and all feedback. I know I forget things easily, and it’s honestly the best thing to help me hammer it into my memory. Thanks again!
Yeah, it seems like I fell back into old habits with the pausing, and didn’t even realize it. Thanks for that! I’ll confuse pausing at commas with pausing in-between sentences and keep going. I’ll keep this in mind as I continue recording. I’ll also make sure that my words are a bit more clearer to understand.
Doing some more practice to help keep myself on track.
Since I’ve last been here, I’ve spruced up my place with a little soundproofing, so hopefully things sound better here.
It’s a commercial script, with a conversational feel. I’m trying to evoke a beginning, middle, end, as well as making sure my pronunciation of words are clear and sound.
Any and all feedback are much appreciated, thank you for your time!
I have here another recording, for practice! Feedback or criticism of any kind is much appreciated, as usual.
Since my previous entry, nothing has changed. I’m looking for opinions on glottal stops, involving words that end with ‘st,’ ‘ps,’ ‘xt,’ as well as words with the usual ‘t’ in them. You know the ones, lol. Also, I tried my best to keep the reading at a moderate pace, so please let me know how I did there!
Personally, I feel that I could’ve varied the word ‘babbling’ a bit more, but hey.
Working on a good night’s practice, per my instructor. My main focus lies on diction and glottal stops, with words ending in ‘-st,’ ‘-ts,’ ‘xt,’ etc., like ‘rest.’
Other than that, I’m also looking to make sure I’ve given the brand in question enough emphasis, and that I keep an overall constant energy, with a beginning/middle/end.
Any feedback and criticisms of any kind is much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
It’s funny, because I was paying so much attention to pronouncing my Ts, and then my Ds start to suffer. I can even tell in the recording. I still have a long ways to go, but I’ll continue to work at it!
