Joseph! I love the warmth of your voice!! In the first recording, the pace was good for the first half, but after :18 it seemed just the slightest bit choppy at the pauses. If that is smoothed over a bit, this is an ideal reading. The way the word “software” is spoken at :17 is veritably award-winning. In the second reading, the line “It is…for the moment…unique.” sounds a bit robotic (:17). Feel free to let your smooth voice run through that more naturally. Can’t wait to hear more!

Hi Rita! I love the first and the third readings! Pitch and tone are nicely varied in the first script; I agree that the tempo could be slowed just a bit. I think that you’ll like the third script reading even more when your acoustics are resolved! With regard to the first reading, at 0:15, you mention Joseph Haydn. Perhaps it’s a different pronunciation in England, but I typically hear it pronounced “Hi-din”, as opposed to “Hay-din”. Let me know if I’m mistaken!–I’ll gladly retract! 🙂 Love your voice!

Hello again! Here are two different reads to be evaluated separately. I’m continuing to work on technique and sounding natural. Thanks for any and all feedback! -Mitch

Hi Robert! Great read–your voice IS ideal for a nice smokey whisky. I heard the pause after ‘to work their magic’ too, and maybe after oak casks. But I like how you sped up the reading ever so slightly on the two sentences toward the end–40% and Imported by. Maybe extend your pause ever so slightly after …New York, in order to separate your final sentence a tiny bit more. Love that voice!

CYeschenko, this is a great read! If I could nitpick (as I must if I am to find ANY flaws), maybe extend your pauses between periods for an extra millisecond, as some of the sentences seem to run in to each other. Example…the pauses between “…client. With…” and “…service. Swift…” are perfect. However, “…needs. From…” and “…loans. We…” have transitions that sound more like a comma with a louder breath. You may have planned it that way for timing, and it is VERY subtle. I LOVE how you read Member FDIC slightly faster, as I remember banks always doing in the ads in the past! I also think this is an ideal genre for your voice–very trusting, down to earth, and neighborly.

Amitofu, I love your voice for these readings! Especially the Mailboxes one…the short reads are just ideal for your super cool voice. One thing on Mailboxes, check your pronunciation of Etcetera. The first time it sounds like Ex-cetra, the second is different…Ex-cedra (with the d sound). You may need an extra syllable in there for pronunciation: Et-cet-er-a. Check how he says it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISdl4DmCJZk
The Mazda read is great (I just got a CX-5 last month!). And the Pampers read was great too–You sounded very genuine in your care/concern for your loved one–I imagine you were thinking about if one of your own parents was currently in this situation. Great read–perhaps skip the pause after the word “which” at the end. I want to keep listening to you!

Hi Mary! I think the Sam Adams read is your finest work yet! It’s the most natural-sounding, smoothly delivered, just-talking-to-me performance I’ve heard from your submissions. The only thing I would change is actually the chuckle–it didn’t seem necessary, as the words themselves will pull a chuckle out of the listener. Such a great read!!

Hey Mauricio! I LOVE the second half of that read! The closing is awesome, especially with tone and tempo, and it reminds me of when I listened to radio in the Dominican Republic way back when. My Spanish vocab is super weak now, 30+ years later, but the latter part was super clear and fun to listen to. I recognize your reading would be heard by the Spanish-speaking listeners, but the company info at the beginning ran together too much for my slow americano ears. The first sentence… “en todo la republica” perhaps needs more of a punch? If the company is the best in the entire republic, perhaps a pause after that for it to sink in? Again, I may be way off, and you def need input from a native Spanish speaker, but I thought I’d chime in because I love listening to the language, y tu voz es SUPERbueno!

Hi cbehrens, welcome! Your voice has a nice, soft, breathy quality to it. I like it better in the second spot. My critique would be that you almost sound too timid/quiet, like there’s somebody in the next room you don’t want to disturb. I love the first line of the second spot, like we’re at a conference sitting next to each other and you have your hand up blocking your mouth and talking to me only–“what exactly IS creaTIVITY?!” I would love to hear the answer to the question be more assertive and with a bit more volume. You have a great voice–open up that throat chakra and let us all hear! Looking forward to hearing more from you! 🙂
