    Hi Titus,

Nice commercial read. Is this meant to be a radio spot? If not, I would slow down the pace a little bit so that the listener can really hear what you are saying. Also, who is your audience/who are you speaking to? Having that in mind may help make the read a bit more conversational.

    Hi Titus,

I’m not sure of the category this fits in, but the pacing I thought was done well. I would soften the emphasis on the word “I”, especially the first one (“I got you elected). It sounds a bit forced. Great variations with pace and tone.

    Hi Cecelia,

I agree with Jade that silencing the background noise would be helpful and will help not take away from your read. Outside of that, who is your audience/who are you talking to? I’ve found that having a person/people in mind helps make the read more conversational and less like reading a script. Hope that’s helpful!

Hi! For the emotional connection, I would think about who you’re talking to and why. Where are you? Why are you talking about this? That and the lead in that mvacc mentioned should help!

Hi Tim. Great work! The scripts were varied in tone depending on the audience you were addressing. The tempos were about the same across all 3 reads, but they all kept me engaged.

Hi All! Looking for any feedback on this read for my narration demo. Thanks!

Music is a language just like you would read aloud from a book. The symbols you will see on pages of sheet music have been used for hundreds of years. They represent the pitch, speed, and rhythm of the song they convey, as well as expression and techniques used by a musician to play the piece. Think of the notes as the letters, the measures as the words, the phrases as the sentences and so forth. In the following video, we will explore the basics of learning to read music, first by going through the staff and the two clefs, and then the notes on the staff.
