A one hour one-on-one session with James Romick, getting more in depth with further “tweaks” to make REAPER even more VO and Audiobook Production-friendly.

Topics Covered:

• Optimal Input Recording Levels
• To Normalize or not to Normalize?
• Using and Applying 3 rd Party FX Plugins. (Waves, iZotope, etc.)
• Creating useful Custom Actions (macros)
• Creating a VO/Audiobook specific Toolbar and KB Shortcuts
• Themes and Color Schemes
• Rendering multiple file types simultaneously
• The importance of a logical Directory Path for Projects and Files

Requirements:

• A recording of some kind of copy (not a stream of consciousness)
• At least 2 minutes in length – edited of mis-takes – no silent “gaps”
• Including at least 3 seconds of Room Tone
• Input levels of between -6dB & -12dB Peak
