Description
What to expect:
Jake will introduce which techniques are most important to utilize while considering how to voice a living, breathing, character, with an emphasis on how best to listen to your fellow voice actors. Each student will then get an opportunity to work on a script, and Jake along with fellow students will have the opportunity to discuss and respond when the character feels most alive. You’ll explore gesture, emotion, location, and action-tools that should be accounted for at all times while in a read. Then you’ll put together a recording at the end of class, time permitting, or at home and Jake will provide feedback.
The aim of this 3-hour webinar is to bring more awareness inside your read, helping you feel more adept at adjusting quickly as a voice artist, and setting you up for success. For auditors, simply learning HOW to listen as a voice actor, and WHAT to listen for, begins to break down some of the mystery around why some reads work better than others, and what you can do to better ensure all of your characters pop. These are actionable tools you can take with you on every audition and record going forward.
Join us and bring those characters to life!
