Description
A key feature in any voice actor’s home studio is the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Among the most popular, especially in the beginnings of a career, is the free software Audacity. Although it’s free and accessible, learning the ins and outs of editing your own audio with this tool is crucial!
In this two hour webinar, Art will lead you through a detailed examination of Audacity.
This class will
- Provide the foundational steps to record and edit auditions and client projects in Audacity
- Help you feel comfortable and confident when talking with engineers
- Introduce you to Audacity’s shortcuts to help you save time in editing and recording
- Show you how to ensure your audio sounds professional and marketable
- Teach you how to use Audacity’s compression & EQ tools for squeaky-clean audio
- Reveal how to save your files in the proper format for your clients
Bring all of your questions; there will be a 30-minute Q&A Session!
Sweet Know How. oh, how precious it’s fruit. Art Rocked this episode. He covered it. Got you to the heart of the matter. He showed us, start to finish. just what we were all yearning for. Audacity mysteries unveiled. Thanks Art for showing us the light
Loved this overview of Audacity. Taught me all the essentials in a way I could understand without having to research 20 YouTube videos to get to the functions I wanted to know. I enjoy Art’s wealth of knowledge, yet down-to-earth and casual teaching style that makes learning these technical skills fun instead of frustrating. He offers tips and lets you know what you really need to know vs. what’s more specialized or less frequently needed. He also goes over things and reviews points enough so that if you’re a beginner, you can process what he’s teaching and “get” it. A+!
Art was great and I learned so, so much! He was prepared and covered a lot information but I didn’t find it too overwhelming. I had a list of questions that I didn’t even need to ask because he covered it!
I thought there was a lot of chatter with people the instructor knew, and the technical difficulties were annoying, but I learned what I needed to produce and send audio to prospective clients. Thanks, Peter McGinnis, Voice Actor
